Tips to Pass First Time

Advice from our experienced instructors who've helped hundreds of students pass

Exaggerate your mirror checks

Move your head visibly so the examiner can clearly see you checking. Before every signal, lane change, and speed change.

Take your time

There's no rush. If you're unsure at a junction, wait for a safe gap. Being cautious is better than being reckless.

Listen to the examiner

Directions will be clear and given in plenty of time. If you don't understand, politely ask them to repeat.

Wrong turns are fine

Going the wrong way is NOT a fault. As long as you do it safely, just follow the next direction given.

Stay calm after mistakes

One minor fault won't fail you. you can make up to 15. Don't let a mistake affect your focus for the rest of the test.

Know your test routes

Practice the roads around your test centre. Familiarity with junctions and roundabouts builds confidence.

What to Bring

  • UK photocard provisional driving licence
  • Theory test pass certificate (valid for 2 years)
  • Glasses or contact lenses if you need them

Important:If you don't have the correct documents, your test will be cancelled and you'll lose your fee (£62).
