Intensive courses are not for everyone, and that is okay. Here is how to know if this approach suits your situation.
Not sure which is right for you? See our nervous driver lessons or standard weekly lessons.
Every week we help people from all walks of life get their licence fast. Here are some of the people we have helped recently.
Sarah landed her dream job but it requires driving. She had 3 weeks before starting. Passed in 8 days.
James needed to drive for school runs but could not commit to weekly lessons for months. Used his annual leave wisely.
Emma wanted her licence before uni started. Spent her summer break getting it done instead of dragging it through term time.
Michael drove abroad for years but never got a UK licence. A 20-hour refresher course got him test-ready fast.
Four hours might sound like a lot, but here is how we structure it to keep you fresh and learning effectively.
Your instructor arrives. Quick chat about what you will cover today.
Focus on new skills or areas that need work. Junctions, manoeuvres, or specific challenges.
Stop for a coffee or just stretch your legs. Your brain needs processing time.
Apply what you learned. Practice test routes and build real-world confidence.
Quick review of progress. Your instructor sets homework if needed and plans tomorrow.
Rest up. Your brain will be processing everything while you relax.
Times are flexible. Some students prefer afternoon sessions. We work around you.
Do not let these misconceptions stop you from getting your licence fast.
“4 hours of driving a day is too exhausting”
We break it into two 1.5-hour sessions with a proper break. By Day 3, muscle memory kicks in and time flies. Most students are surprised how manageable it is.
“Intensive courses are only for confident learners”
Many nervous learners actually prefer intensive courses. The concentrated practice means less time forgetting between sessions, and you build confidence faster than with weekly lessons.
“You cannot learn to drive properly in 1-2 weeks”
The total hours are the same as weekly lessons, just compressed. Research shows that focused, consistent practice leads to better skill retention than lessons spread over months.
“The pass rate is lower for intensive courses”
Our intensive course students achieve a high first-time pass rate. The immersive format means skills stay fresh and you are at peak performance on test day.
Usually within 1-2 weeks, depending on instructor availability. During busy periods (summer, school holidays), we recommend booking 2-3 weeks ahead. Call us for current availability.
It happens, and it is not the end of the world. We will book you another test as soon as possible and provide additional lessons at a discounted rate to address whatever went wrong. Most people who fail just need a few more hours of practice on specific areas.
Yes, but we strongly recommend passing your theory first. You cannot book a practical test without it, and you will get more from your lessons if you already understand the Highway Code. We can provide theory test study materials when you book.
It sounds like a lot, but we break it into two sessions with a proper break in between. Most students find they actually prefer this to weekly lessons because they make faster progress and stay in "driving mode" rather than forgetting between sessions.
No problem. We will be honest with you about your progress. If you need extra hours, you can add them at our standard hourly rate. We would rather you pass than rush you through unprepared.
No driving school can genuinely guarantee a pass. what we can guarantee is that you will be properly prepared. If we do not think you are ready, we will tell you honestly and work with you until you are.
We do not recommend it as you lose the benefit of consecutive practice. However, if you have unavoidable commitments, we can sometimes accommodate a short break. Discuss with us when booking.
Make sure you meet these requirements:
