Accessibility Statement

Last updated: March 2026

Our Commitment

DriveThruL is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.

What We Do

We have taken the following steps to ensure our website is accessible:

Keyboard Navigation

All interactive elements on our website can be accessed using a keyboard alone. You can navigate through links, buttons, and form fields using the Tab key, and activate them with the Enter or Space key.

Screen Reader Support

Our website is built with semantic HTML and ARIA attributes to ensure compatibility with assistive technologies such as screen readers. We use meaningful labels for form inputs, descriptive link text, and appropriate heading hierarchy throughout the site.

Colour Contrast

We have designed our website with sufficient colour contrast ratios to ensure text and interactive elements are easily distinguishable. Our text meets or exceeds the WCAG 2.1 AA minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text.

Alternative Text

All meaningful images on our website include descriptive alternative text so that screen reader users can understand the content and purpose of each image. Decorative images are marked as such and hidden from assistive technologies.

Responsive Design

Our website is fully responsive and can be used on devices of all sizes, from mobile phones to desktop monitors. Content reflows to fit the screen without horizontal scrolling, and text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.

Forms and Error Handling

All form fields have visible labels and clear error messages. Error states are announced to screen reader users via ARIA live regions so that issues can be identified and corrected without confusion.

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of the site may have limitations:

  • Some older PDF documents may not be fully accessible. We are working to replace these with accessible versions.
  • Third-party content embedded on some pages (such as payment forms provided by Stripe) may not fully conform to our accessibility standards. We work with our partners to improve this.
  • Some interactive dashboard features used by instructors and students may have limited screen reader support. We are actively improving these areas.

Feedback and Contact

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of the DriveThruL website. If you encounter any accessibility barriers or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us:

We will do our best to respond to accessibility feedback within 5 working days and to resolve any issues as quickly as possible.

Enforcement Procedure

If you are not satisfied with our response to your accessibility concern, you can contact the Equality Advisory Support Service (EASS). The EASS is an independent service that provides advice and support on equality and human rights issues, including disability discrimination relating to the Equality Act 2010.

You can also contact the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) if you believe your rights have been breached.

Technical Information

This website is built using Next.js and React, and is hosted on Vercel. We use semantic HTML5 elements, ARIA attributes where appropriate, and follow modern web development best practices to support accessibility.
