Goodmayes Driving Test Centre is roughly 20 minutes from Canary Wharf by car, north up the A12 Eastern Avenue, then east into IG3. For a Canary Wharf learner this matters more than it does for an Ilford learner, because the test environment is dramatically different from your day to day practice ground.
The Goodmayes routes feature multi lane signal controlled roundabouts (Barley Lane Roundabout), busy bus lane high streets (Goodmayes Road), 20mph zones outside Loxford School, and the Eastern Avenue dual carriageway slip roads on the way in and out.
Almost none of these conditions exist in Canary Wharf. So a structured course for an E14 learner has two phases. Phase one builds confidence on E14 itself, the local roundabouts, the Aspen Way merges, the Westferry one way, the Manchester Road bus lanes.
Phase two introduces Goodmayes style conditions: we travel up to IG3 for an hour at a time and drive the actual Goodmayes test routes, the Becontree Loop, the Eastern Avenue Run, the Seven Kings Independent. By the time you walk into the test centre, you will have driven every common route.

The weekend only programme suits people whose weekdays are completely committed: 4 hours Saturday plus 4 hours Sunday across six to eight weekends, totalling 48 to 64 hours, with a test booked for a Saturday morning. No weekday lessons at all.
The hourly format suits people who want flexibility and don't mind a longer total course duration: book a 90 minute or 2 hour slot at whatever time works, week by week. We provide 7am, lunchtime, 5:30pm, and 8pm slots specifically for the Canary Wharf cohort, so a lesson fits between calls or before a working day.
Average total course is 35 to 45 hours regardless of format. Pick the format that protects your calendar, not the one that minimises the per hour price.

None of these include the £62 DVSA practical test fee, which you pay directly to GOV.UK.
