Two well-known names often mistaken for instructor insurers actually sell learner driver insurance, and both pay instructors to refer pupils for private practice cover. Collingwood pays £50 for a first referral and up to £20 for each one after; Marmalade runs a similar instructor network across its young-driver products. Useful pocket money, but neither insures you as an instructor.
