Get comfortable with the question style, the case studies, and the timing so there are no surprises on test day.
The more you practice, the more confident you'll feel. Regular mock tests reduce test-day anxiety.
Practice tests highlight topics you need to revise, helping you to focus your study time effectively.
The official GOV.UK practice tests use questions that are very similar in style and format to the real test. While they don't use the exact same questions you'll get on the day, they are created by the DVSA (the people who set the test) and are the most accurate practice resource available.
There's no magic number, but a good goal is to consistently pass the mock tests with a score well above the required 43/50. Don't just aim to scrape a pass; aim to understand the material thoroughly. For hazard perception, practice until you can confidently spot the developing hazards in the official clips.
No! The official DVSA practice tests on the GOV.UK website are completely free. While there are many paid apps and services available (which can be very good), you can get excellent practice without spending any extra money by using the official resources.
You need to score at least 43 out of 50 on the multiple-choice section. For the hazard perception part, you need at least 44 out of 75. You must pass both parts in the same sitting to receive a pass certificate.
